Carolyn Gentle-Genitty

Assistant Vice President for University Academic Policy; Associate Professor, School of Social Work

Carolyn Gentle-Genitty teaches social work theory and practice at the bachelor's and master's level, on line and in person. As a leader in online education and certified peer reviewer for Quality Matters, she was named IUPUI's first Online Education Faculty Fellow in 2016. She received the 2017 Diversity Excellence award, and was named IUPUI's Inspirational Woman Leader in 2018. She earned her PhD at Indiana University and bachelor's and master's degrees at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.

Amanda Kraha

Assistant Professor, Psychology

Amanda Kraha is a Quality Matters-certified Peer Reviewer and developed online course shells for Methods of Experimental Psychology and Statistical Techniques. She has also taught Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and the Psychology of Learning. Her research interests include online teaching and learning, professional issues in psychology, and autobiographical memory. In 2016, she earned the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Certificate. Kraha completed her BA in Psychology and Sociology at Arkansas Tech University, and her PhD in Experimental Psychology at the University of North Texas.

Adam M. Maksl

Associate Professor of Journalism & Media

IU Southeast

Maksl teaches courses in digital journalism and social media. He also serves as a faculty fellow within UITS eLearning Design & Services, where he is charged with promoting and supporting innovative teaching and learning, especially in fully online courses across all IU campuses. He is a Quality Matters-certified peer reviewer. His awards include Teacher of the Year from the Small Programs Interest Group, Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Honor Roll Newspaper Adviser Award from the College Media Association. Maksl earned his PhD in journalism from the University of Missouri, an MA in journalism from Ball State University, and a BS in secondary journalism education from Indiana University Bloomington.
